As of now, Boalt has offered $0 and USC has offered full-tuition (not Rothman though). I understand that Boalt's national reputation beats the pants off USC's, but what about their regional reputation? Do all Californians unquestionably think better of Berkeley/Boalt than USC? Does it differ in different parts of California? How much of a disadvantage would someone in California be at if they attended USC rather than Berkeley?
Unfortunately I have not visited USC and since the academic year is over I cannot factor the "feel" of the school into the decision. I did visit Boalt and thought it was awesome.
Thanks for any guidance, Californians (or anyone else who knows such things).

UVA's deposit deadline is this friday, correct? I cannot find the paper that talks about it. Did it come with the acceptance packet? How much is the deposit? Does it have to be postmarked by this friday or received by this friday? Thanks.

Has anyone heard from Berkeley about a matching scholarship? If so, when did you send in your other offer?

I've been working for 2 years and have some cash in a 401k account. When you quit a job you have to roll your 401k savings into your new employer's plan. For those of us going to LS, where do you put your 401k money?

I got into Boalt but can't find my user name and password for their admitted students site. Was it in an e-mail or the packet they sent? I am looking for information about their visit day on April 1st, like the schedule and where to go and stuff. I can't find any details about that in anything I've received either. Can anyone help me out?

This one, unlike Harvard, was expected so, once again unlike Harvard, I don't feel too bad about it.

Is anyone else going to the DC reception for UCLA admits tomorrow? I am assuming the dress code for these things is formal. Is Metro Center the closest stop?

My online status check went from Complete to Unavailable last thursday. Today I got an acceptance from GULC for the class of 2009, entering in the Fall of 2006. After hearing from USC's scholarship committee yesterday ($0) and this weirdness today, I am guessing that my PS or LORs really sucked.
