Hey everybody. IU-B is starting to look nicer the more I look at it, and assuming I don't squeeze in at any of my reaches, I'll probably end up in B-Town. Anyone else considering it?

A month ago, I withdrew from Fordham after being deferred. Then, a couple of days ago, I get a letter saying that I've been rejected from Fordham... come on guys, trying to make your acceptance rate a little lower is one thing, but rejecting an application that isn't even *valid* anymore is another.

Just so you guys know... according to the fin. aid dept. at IUB, congress is expected to increase the maximum amount allowed per year through stafford loans to $20,500 from $18,500, to take effect next year. That's another credit-check free $6,000 for us.

They said they would look at the deferred apps again in Feb. and let us know by March 1st. Is this going to be like an ED guarantee where they'll mail out a bunch of rejections and waitlists on March 1st?
I must say, I'm not too sure applying ED was such a great idea... they don't give you any special consideration, and then they promise to look at your app again when there aren't many seats left. Oh well... 8

Law School Applications / How do you ask for more scholarship $$$« on: February 12, 2006, 01:24:52 AM »
After browsing LSN, I have decided that I am pissed at UK. They offered me less money than any of my other acceptances, and with the offer I have now, I probably won't go. However, if my offer looked like some of the offers given to comparable applicants on LSN, I would really consider it.
How do I ask for more money? Is it wrong to do so? To me it seems like a cheap move, but what do I know?
