For some of you who are already accepted and getting ready for your first semester in law school, how much actual information regarding law or the constitution did you know going into it?
The only thing that will probaly help me is spending 6 months completing a police academy and deciding to pursue law.
So basically how much about the law in general did you know before going to law school?
I have heard most law schools accept a wide variety of majors, but when I start college this fall I do not know if pre-law or a BA in political science would be better off for me...
Does anyone have any input as far as what major will help someone prepare for law school or at least give them decent knowledge of the field?
Too many of you this may be a rather stupid question...
But really how important is the LSAT to get into law school?
Currently I am at a 2 year university and have a 3.0 gpa.
Next sept I will be going to a year college and I know my GPA will play a role in getting into a school of law, but the LSAT, the damn LSAT....
Is it going to make me or break me, or will it be overlooked a little bit if I have a high enough GPA?
ANY input is appreciated, thank you.

First to get the introduction out of the way, my name is Mike, I am 20 years old, and live in Bismarck North Dakota.
Anyways, most of my life I have always had the desire to study law, and someday become a lawyer.
I sort of messed around a bit much in high school due to the fact I had enlisted in the United States Marine Corps when I was a junior.
To make a long story short, I was medically discharged a few months ago and now here I sit.
I figured becomming a police officer would be the next closest thing to law as I could get.
Then I sort of grew up, realizing however that my grades from high school were terrible, and the fact I have the hardest time with math out of anyone I have ever met.
Basically I am going to go college this January (Lake Region State) and work for a 2 year degree and do an apprenticeship (sp) over the summer.
I did fairly well in high school in my subjects except math, its my kryptonite.
So in actual law school, is there a whole bunch of mathematics to study? Or is it mainly going to be just law?
Thanks for reading this and I would appreciate any input.
