Law School Admissions / addendum thinking, thoughts?
« on: December 15, 2004, 11:17:57 AM »
3.43 i know i should have no reason really to write an addendum, but thats barely cutting it at a T-15.  So i was thinking of writing an addendum, since i did take a lot of courses i had no business taking in undergrad (intensive russian and intensive french as electives (though i had finished my requirements with latin and advanced spanish), pre-med for a semester which gave me a lovely lovely C+ in one class , graduate elective courses, basically, not what you'd call mickey mouse.) and my major GPAs are both quite high (3.7-3.8ish. what do peeps think?

Studying for the LSAT / second cancellation advice!
« on: December 10, 2004, 01:37:46 PM »
ok i posted before in the cancelling twice part, but i figure this would generate more responses.  anyhow. 3.43 undergrad gpa from georgetown, hoping to get into chicago or northwestern, took lsat 3 times, cancelled february (totally unprepared)  kept october (166), took december but spaced out on section 5 and had a panic attack on logic games. soooooo,,,should i go ahead and keep the exam anyway or cancel the second time and pray it isnt to my detriment?

i gotta good sob story,if i do say so myself,  and I'm applying early action and pointedly for the public interest law track.   thoughts?  comments?

Law School Admissions / Juvenile criminal records and stuff
« on: November 07, 2004, 03:11:38 PM »
ok so i'm applying to bunches of law schools and the ones i'm applying to so far (austin, gtown, columbia) seem to be either vague when it comes to reporting juvenile arrests or really explicit about NOT mentioning juvenile arrests.  I've been told that I should report everything, but it seems that quite a few law schools have different policies concerning juvenile/sealed records so it's throwing me for a loop as a result.  (austin specifically states that you dont have to report if you had a juvie record). i am going to go ahead and check no on some applications and maybe yes on some others if they specifically state that i have to.  the discrepancies that result i know might bite me in the ass come bar-time.  any suggestions?
