How do I check my LSDAS GPA to see if it's changed much?

According to the annotations on the leiter rankings, Martindale-Hubbell has info on where lawyers at specific firms went to law school..

Does anyone know where to find this info?

According to USNews Southwestern is a T3, but is it really that bad?

I know the numbers of its incomming class are extremely low, but their employment@grad and tuition statistics are better than some much higher ranked schools

I only ask because I'm taking a second look at cali schools, and I was considering replacing one of my safeties (like loyola chicago) with this one, because, in the long run, I'd like to settle down in cali

I keep seeing people refer to "T1" as a bunch of generally good schools, but I can't find an actual list of them anywhere.

Studying for the LSAT / Anyone take the LSAT at Pace (NY)?

Has anyone taken the LSAT at Pace Law School in Westchester, NY?

I'm taking it there in December, but I'm kind of worried.. I went there today (field trip!) and the place where we're supposed to show up is a big ass room with a bunch of folding chairs and a couple creeky (spelling?) tables..

There are a bunch of classrooms down the hall, but I have no idea if we're actually going to be using the classrooms..

So.. did anyone take the lsat there?  Any comments on the test center?  Do they stick us in classrooms or are we stuck with the fold-out chairs?

Law School Rankings / How skeptical are you about employment@grad statistics?

I was reading the webpage of the leiter rankings and it went on about how schools can and have manipulated the employment @ graduation statistics to improve their rankings..

How skeptical are you guys about this?  To you just take these statistics with a grain of salt now?

I used to think of them as the best indicator of a school's career services department, but now I'm not quite sure.

For example, UNC has an employed@grad rate of 70% .. kind of surprising given it's ranking and difficulty to get into.  Meanwhile, Cardozo has an employed@grad rate of 78%, and American has 85%!  Fordham?  85%...


Anyway, what are your thoughts on these numbers?  Do you completely ignore them or what?  Also, doesn't a high % of grads that are employed in private practice, etc, make it difficult for schools to manipulate these stats?

Where should I go next fall? / Yet another "Where should I apply" thread (fair warning)

I have a 3.8 from a crappy private college, and a C- from a course I took at johns hopkins while I was in HS..  I'm consistently scoring 170ish (give or take a couple) on diagnostic exams, and haven't given up hope of further improvement -- taking the lsat in december.  I have no other redeeming qualities.. my PS and LORs will be mediocre, at best... so basically the only things that will get me in anywhere will be my "numbers"


Here's where I'm considering applying.. I can only apply to about 15 schools.. so I'll probably have to remove about 10 from here, and add about 3 that I haven't considered (I'm looking at 22 schools)

How did I come up with these schools?  Well, I got them from the LSAC gpa/lsat calculator thingy... Then I weeded a lot of them out based on starting salary and employment @ graduation rates.


Anyway, are there any that make you wonder if I'm on crack?  Or are there any you think I must have "forgotten" to list?

Studying for the LSAT / Does anyone have the July '04 test?

Hi all..

Do any of you kind souls have the July '04 test in pdf format or something?

Someone was kind enough to share the october test, hopefully the july one is available as well.

I'd buy it from LSAC but it won't get here in time for the LSAT in december :(
