Studying for the LSAT / 1 low score and 1 cancelled score?

I've previously taken the LSAT and did poorly. My practice scores this time around are very inconsistent, however I feel the urge to get the test done and over with so I will be taking the June test. If I decide to cancel my score, will it look bad to have a low score AND a cancelled score?

General Off-Topic Board / Prospective or Returning Peace Corps Volunteers

The deal is that I am only twenty years old (I graduated), and I want to do something meaningful with my life before I begin law school – and a long career as an attorney. I think the best thing for me to do would be to take a break, and discover more aspects of my personality and abilities. I also have a strong desire to experience a different culture and life different than dwelling in a boring suburb.

Are any of you LSDers considering volunteering for the Peace Corps or have you already had the experience? Please let me know why you are choosing the Peace Corps – or if you have returned from a two-year stint, where did you go, what did you do, and what did you get out of the experience?

Thanks, I am in the application process right now, and I would feel so much better if I knew of Peace Corps volunteers with law school on the brain.

General Off-Topic Board / The Superior Court Clerk's role

I need to be clear about the Department of Judicial Administration Superior Court Clerk’s Office’s role. I believe the Superior Court Clerk is elected, although I’m not sure what his/her role is.

Is he/she responsible for keeping and filing records as well as serving judges? And does the office handle all types of cases – whether it be criminal, civil, or family law? Please let me know, as I am confused.

Personal Statement / Sent out with MISTAKES -- HELP

Hello!

Not only did I notice misplaced commas just now, I also noticed that I wrote:

He stands as well-respected mechanical engineer...

instead of:

He stands as a well-respected mechanical engineer....

(I swear I've read it through thirty times and never picked up these mistakes till now.) HELP! I'VE SENT THIS PERSONAL STATEMENT TO 5 LAW SCHOOLS ALREADY! SHOULD I SEND THEM A NEW ONE? IF SO, WHAT DO I SAY TO THEM TO EXPLAIN THE NEW PERSONAL STATEMENT WITHOUT SOUNDING LIKE AN IDIOT?

Law School Applications / Electronic troubles with PDF preview

Is anyone else trying to send out an electronic application today (Sat. Nov. 6) and not have your attachments show up in your pdf preview?

Should I just make sure I attach the right document and send it anyway, without seeing what it looks like in the pdf preview?

Law School Applications / Action taken on application

Hi guys,

One of my applications asks if I applied to other law schools, what action has been taken on my application. What is this supposed to mean? For now, I wrote complete or uncomplete (as in the schools do or do not have all my materials). Am I right on this?
