Incoming 1Ls / WANTED: Soon to be Ohio State 1Ls
« on: April 04, 2005, 09:17:08 PM »
Anyone here planning to attend OSU in the fall and thinking of moving into the swanky new South Campus Gateway law school residence thats across the street from the law school? If so, are you thinking of getting a roommate? If so, do you already have a roommate? If not, why not me?  ;D

I'm considering registering for one of these places and from what I heard today there's not a lot of units left. I'm neat, I cook, I mainly study in the library and if I do study at home I'm very very quiet, I attended law school for 1 year 7 years ago so I know what it takes to get through 1L and I can help you, and.....I come from California so there you go and I helped make Shrek 2 and the upcoming Madagascar recently for DreamWorks (I might as well milk the film stuff for all its worth, no?).

Interested? Send me a message or reply to this posting.

I just got the call 1/2 hour ago!! whoo-hoo!! I was on deferment so I figured I had no chance of getting in.

they sent me a letter on 3/22 so I'm trying to know if thats a yes or a no.

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / What would you pick?

Chicago-Kent (no money)
Toledo (full ride)
Capital (1/2 tuition)

Caveat: Capital is only listed because I would like to transfer to Ohio State if OSU decides on April 1st to not accept me or waitlist me.

What would any of you pick 'cause I'm pretty torn right now.

got the beautiful slim envelope last night. Oh well, not I'm just waiting on U of Pitts and Ohio State (deferred so far). If neither accepts me its going to be either Capital (who gave me a ton of money), Chicago-Kent (who gave me no $$), and Toledo (who gave me a full ride).

I got deferred at OSU and its my top choice school. I sent in another letter of rec, an addendum on why I would like to attend OSU specifically, and an additional addendum on what I have been doing since I applied in November. Anyway, I've been reading some of the posts here from people who have been deferred at other schools and I'm getting the impression that getting deferred is almost like getting rejected. Is it really that difficult to get off the deferred list and get an acceptance? Are the schools looking for those people who are actually going to make an effort to get off the deferred list?

I'm staying optimistic about my chances, but I also don't want to delude myself into thinking that my chances are great. What do you all think?

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / the longer they take...

is it really a bad sign if a particular school hasn't gotten back to you after its sent out acceptance letters? The school I'm wondering about is Ohio State. Is it that or simply that they haven't made a decision yet?

got the very light looking envelope just now.

They suck.

McGeorge sent me a huge envelope and Chapman sent me a letter (along w/ an offer of a 60% merit scholarship).
