okay, you asked for it Miss P.  now, i demand answers.   ;D

we all want to learn about miss p and her freaky ways...  ;)

i went and had a great time.  beforehand, i was vacillating between gw full-time and gtown part-time.  i'm now definitely leaning toward gtown.  i thought everything about it was great (facilities, current students, newly admitted students, professors, etc.).  oh, and the moot of hamden v. rumsfeld was awesome!  anybody have any opinions?

Incoming 1Ls / law school debt
« on: March 23, 2006, 06:35:26 AM »
am i crazy for thinking law school debt incurred will not be a big deal?  really, it's hardly registering on my radar at the moment.  perhaps i'm too shortsighted or perhaps i'm naive, but when it comes to schools i'm considering, it hardly even enters into the equation.

cornell..  >:(  they're slow, fake deferrals later rescinded only to be reinstated, and the only school that had issues processing my application.

Choosing the Right Law School / gtown pt vs. gw ft
« on: March 20, 2006, 11:18:34 AM »
okay, i'm trying to make a difficult decision.  i would rather go full-time, but i would also rather go to georgetown.  if anybody has any insight they could offer to compare the two, i'm having a very difficult time with this.  moreoever, does anyone have clarification about gtown's policy on allowing pt students to transfer into the ft program after 1 year?  their website FAQ has the question on it, but it's kind of vague on the subject.

General Off-Topic Board / live on campus or off?
« on: November 26, 2005, 08:27:08 PM »
hmmm... so, what does everyone think?  i know lots of schools don't offer housing for professional students.  i can't imagine living on campus again, but then, being close would be oh so nice on those epic days of studying in the library.

General Off-Topic Board / Conservative Hypocrisy
« on: December 14, 2004, 03:55:50 PM »
as i walk around campus, i frequently see flyers that say something to the extent of, "come attend the right to life conference. we don't discriminate.  we think all life is important, even the unborn."  now, these flyers are definitely for a student group that is "pro-life".  my problem with this kind of group, using slogans like they do, as well as the self-righteous conservatives that decry pro-choice/abortion because life is sacred, is that they are full of sh*t.  they spout rhetoric about how liberals don't appreciate the value of life, but then they turn around and call for the death penalty like it's nothing.  if all life is so sacred, why the hell do we kill people to punish them for killing others?

i have no problem with people believing that abortion is wrong and that all life is sacred.  the problem arises when this rhetoric is sh*t used for political calculations and is conditional.  if you're unborn, you can have life, but once you have life and you do something we don't like, #@!* you; you just lost the value of your life.

someone please explain to me how this can possibly make sense.

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / texas deferral

what a shame, though i can't say i'm surprised.  i suppose i should just be happy that i haven't been dinged yet.  i hate waiting for these damn notifications.  hopes of a good christmas present are dwindling.

Choosing the Right Law School / Anybody heard anything from GW?
« on: December 07, 2004, 08:04:36 AM »
i don't even know if my application is complete.  i assume it must be since i sent everything in at the end of october, but it just seems odd not to have heard anything.
