loved it.  the law quad is just as gorgeous as it is in the cd-rom, the students are amazing and the professors are brilliant.  i strongly encourage everyone to visit if possible.  please let me know if you guys have any questions! :)

Choosing the Right Law School / Stanford Law Fair?
« on: November 15, 2004, 01:04:48 PM »
hey kids, i thought i was going to be able to attend the lsac forum in sf today, but i can't make it.  i was thinking about running over to the stanford pre-law fair tomorrow but i wanted to know if anyone had (1) been before and thought it was worth it or will the person at the upenn table look askance at me and (2) if it is open to the public?

i guess i want to know if anyone thinks that these fairs are worthwhile in general.

??? <---- me, but i'm not sad, just curious

Law School Admissions / on-line status checks. . .
« on: October 15, 2004, 08:36:58 AM »
are just more websites for me to check seven times a day.  why do i think that just because i've gone complete in the last two days that today (or anytime soon) it will say "decision"?  or better yet, "ADMITTED", which it won't since they won't tell you online.

Law School Admissions / Penn Fee Waiver AFTER App Was Received?
« on: October 13, 2004, 09:29:34 AM »
hi kids, after a month of lurking i've finally migrated from xo.  you guys seem to be really helpful.

i received a fee waiver from penn yesterday after i sent in my application and i found out that they cashed my check already.  has someone already called penn and asked if we can get a refund and how to do this?

EDIT: just called them and the woman on the phone was very nice.  i did give her my name, but she said it wasn't a problem and just to send a copy of the letter to them and the check number.
