Financial Aid / Clueless about loans--help« on: June 02, 2005, 04:21:33 PM »
I received my award letter and sent that back to the school for the federal loans. Do I apply for the private loans now? I haven't received a student budget of any kind, not sure if that matters. Anything you can tell me in regards to what I should do next would be good.

I'm still in college so i've filled out a FAFSA for the past 4 years and am eligible for a renewal FAFSA. Provided that I change my status to a graduate program as opposed to an undergraduate, could I just fill out a renewal FAFSA? I'm wondering what everyone else has done.

I assume we pay for seat deposits out of pocket but do we pay tuition down payments the same way? Does financial aid cover this or end up covering it in the end?

Did anyone else have this problem? I already emailed my flakey pre-law office about it. They claim to weeks to have it processed and I brought it in toward the beginning of November. So instead of hoping for a decision soon, I have to deal with this. Just a rant.

Where should I go next fall? / Winter break mail« on: December 11, 2004, 03:29:44 PM »
Since i'll be going home from school for the break, how will receiving mail work? Will they just know to send it home (unlikely) or will any mail pretty much just pile up here at school for a month and i'll have to wait until I get back to see if i'm in/rejected anywhere?

I applied electronically on 11/24. I thought they had a rolling admissions policy, why haven't they requested my file?

If your file is complete with LSAC, it can't possibly take 8-10 days for it to travel through the mail. I was just curious what the 8-10 days is for and if they are serious about it.

Law School Applications / Suffolk LSDAS Request?« on: November 30, 2004, 11:21:54 AM »
Has anyone applied to Suffolk within the past 1-2 weeks? They accept an electronic certification/credit card payment and they have not requested my LSDAS report. I know it can take time if they are waiting for a signature/check but this isn't the case. I'm wondering if anyone else is in the same boat or I should think about calling them?
