anybody planning on withdrawing from catholic?  i'm hoping the GW, American wait lists start moving so spaces in the part-time program open up...

is there a particular week in june or july that most schools notify their wait listed candidates about acceptance/rejection decisions? or is it simply that by the end of july you 'should' have a decision...and most go out in june, etc.?

Studying for the LSAT / third retake or no?
« on: October 27, 2004, 07:01:46 AM »
here's my situation 3.1 cum  148 1st test  153 second test..completely froze, i was testing in the 158-161 range on practice tests (didn't help that the curve was so brutal)  i'm thinking about just sending my apps in the next few weeks and retaking in february after extensive studying (again)

will it make a diff to adcomms if i'm dinged and i submit a new score - say a 160+??  or should i just suck it up and do my best to get into a law program and transfer

thanks for the advice

numbers 3.1 cum
lsat 148/153 (151 avg - horrible i know)
cap. hill work exp. 1 yr, good recs, 1 prof, 1 employer
still think i can do better on lsat, but i hear adcoms look disfavorably on 3 scores.

Studying for the LSAT / retake in DEC or not?
« on: October 05, 2004, 11:02:13 AM »
need serious advice, thanks to all in advance

First test june 03 148
UGPA 3.1
This time, lots of prep, 10 actual, 10 more, some of 10 next, LG bible, PR class, etc.  took prep tests 41, 42, 43 over the course of studies got 152,154,and 161 respectively and in that order.

On test day I was very nervous

LR nailed (miss 3 or 4 hopefully)
LR experimental
RC unconfident, uncertain (NGF threw me for a loop, 2 blind guesses on last passage) I usually miss 4-5 max, but may have missed more on this one.
LR weak, uncertain (blind guesses on 4 of last 5 questions)
LG avg. to good (got through 3 games completely, blind guessed B last 5.  maybe missed 2-3 total on completed games.)

I have good work experience, strong recs, and will put together a kickass statement, but will a 156 (gasp) overcome my previous low score or should I just retake in DEC?  also to consider, i've taken all of the recent tests, not sure what material i could go over...shooting for any DC area programs, ideally AU or Catholic
