Where should I go next fall? / scholarship Qs

I have heard ppl mention that they have written letters to bargin scholarship money with schools.  Does this actually work and when in the process is the best time to do this?  What do you say?  "Hey, give me more money and maybe I'll go to your school."?

Also, what are the chances that if you get awesome grades your first year that schools will increase the amount of money they are giving you for future years?  Does this happen at all?

Basics:  I'm looking to go into IP Law and stay in Southern California.  I majored in electrical engineering (3.05/151).

Options:
Whittier with no money (applied for the IP Fellowship ($4k/yr))
Thomas Jefferson with $2k/yr (kinda doesnt matter cuz the amount is so small but whatever)

I am waitlisted at Cal Western and waiting to here from Southwestern and USD (long shot).

Where should I send my seat deposit and do I have chances at the waitlisted/pending schools?

Any help would be must appreciated.

Law School Applications / job change, send in updated resume?

I worked at a law firm for two years throughout my undergrad.  Once I graduated, this past December, I got a new job for an engineering firm (I majored in electrical engineering).  My conflict is that in my ps, I mentioned how I loved working at the law firm and was just wondering what the adcomms would think of this change right before law school (is he having second thoughts or something to that nature).  The change is mainly to gain engineering experience before law school (I want to go in to intellectual property) and more money of course.  What do you guys think?  Will sending in an updated resume hurt my chances?

Law School Applications / error on applications

I made a last minute correction on my ps and I guess I was stressing a bit and sent it with a gramatical error.  Ya, I know..very dumb.  I caught the error on the next application though.  Is there anyway to correct this problem?

And as I perused through another one of my apps (after I sent it of course), I saw that it asked for semester hours and I accidently put quarter hours b/c I'm on the quarter system and forgot to convert.  Should I just send them a letter explaining the mistake?

Thanks in advance.  And no criticism is necessary cuz I already know they are stupid mistakes.

LSAC and LSDAS / additional transcripts???

My transcript got processed but they sent me an email saying I need transcripts from 2 other schools otherwise it will show up as an unregistered transcript or something.  Do I really need to get these transcripts?  Both are JCs and I only took 1 summer class at each one (spanish and lower division major class)?   :-\

Also, is there any advantage of applying early even if you file is not completed with lsdas as opposed to just waiting till you submit everything and then sending in the apps?
