Current Law Students / President of my Law School student senate?
« on: July 27, 2005, 09:44:14 PM »
I start law school in the fall.  I already know that I am interested in this position.  Do any 1L, 2L's or 3L's know anything about running for this?

I wasn't part of student government in hs or college so does that hurt my chances of being 'experienced' so to speak?

Also, is the President of the senate the class speaker at graduation?

So I'm thinking of getting EyeQ software before I start law school because I've heard that it makes you read faster.  Has anyone used it and what can you tell me about it?

2)  Has anyone read "The 8 secrets of top exam performance in law school" by Charles H. WHitebread?

3)  SHould I get Sum & Substance CD's?

Thank you once again!

Current Law Students / Question about supplementals.......
« on: April 23, 2005, 07:46:17 AM »
1)  When is the BEST time in your opinion to purchase supplementals online?  When are they at the cheapest?

2)  Do the supplementals change from year to year? The reason I ask is I haven't decided if I'll be starting law school this fall or next fall and wasn't sure if I should stick with the current editions?

3)  Is LEEWS worth it?  I've heard a lot of differing opinions regarding this.

4)  What does everyone think of ExamPro Series published by West, Crunchtime Series and Roadmap Series?

Thanks experts!

Current Law Students / What is the easiest type of exam to take?

Just out of curiousity, what is the easiest type of exam to take or does it depend on the person's strengths/weaknesses?

Current Law Students / What was the hardest thing about your 1L?

Curious as to what was the hardest thing to adjust to!
Schedule? Hours of studying?

I'd like to spend my summer reading prepping for law school.  What do you all recommend?

There's a series called the "Nutshell Series" published by Thompson/West.  Should I buy the volumes that deal with my first-year classes and read
them thoroughly?

Or do you recommend E&E?, S&S?, Gilberts?

Which is the cheapest? Most expensive? How much am I looking to spend?

Also, which is better audio tapes or books? Or does it depend on the class?
