Personal Statement / hate to ask, but
« on: November 04, 2004, 12:24:11 PM »
I really am embarrassed to ask this, but I have to know.

One of the things that keeps coming back to me for my PS is to include some sort of reference (fague) about the physical abuse I endured during my childhood.

I don't want pitty, Or to sound like I expect someone or something else to make it up to me, but it is a huge part of a lot of the good stuff I turned out to be.

Sould I mention it, and if so how do I word it?  I've been playing this over in my head for quite a while...it's put a crimp in my writing.

Thanks

Studying for the LSAT / Statistics by section
« on: November 01, 2004, 08:41:47 AM »
I've been trying to find information about the scoring mean of each section of the LSAT.  I'm curious to see what has been the most difficult section(s) historically.

Can't find anything.  Any suggestions?

Thanks

Studying for the LSAT / What am I missing?
« on: October 18, 2004, 03:19:33 PM »
I know probably everyone here is burned out on anything having to do with the LSAT, but would you check out a logic games question I found online??

Either I'm missing something (quite probable) or the question sucks.

Here's the link.  It's the one about the dogs...questions 5-9
http://www.west.net/~stewart/lsat/ql_analy1.htm#H2

Thanks in advance

Non-Traditional Students / My story...any advice appreciated
« on: September 24, 2004, 12:37:12 AM »
I'm a 50 yo woman that owns a moderately successful small business manufacturing reproduction carousel horses and selling them to retailers around the world (we're on The Price is Right as a prize!!)

My undergrad is a BS in Medical Technology (3.2 gpa)and I worked in a hospital diagnostic lab for 14 years before starting my company where I've been for the last 14 years. (hmmmm, first time I've done the math...14 year itch?)

I've served on our area school board, raised 2 kids on our farm (my son's in med school and my daughter is finishing her masters then hopefully phd)and have been involved in many community activities.

ok...I want to sell my business and realize a life long dream of going to law school.  (I know you've heard it before a million times.

There is only one school within reasonable driving distance of where I live, so I've only got one shot.

Should I take the risk and go for it?  What are my chances?  We're finally financially and time ready.

Any help or comments appreciated...thanks
