Current Law Students / Contracts Supplements
« on: February 02, 2006, 06:17:28 AM »
We're using the Farnsworth casebook, and my prof. is all over the place.  Any suggestions as to a good supplement?  Thanks.

Current Law Students / Multiple Choice Questions
« on: August 01, 2005, 02:36:33 PM »
I'm an incoming 1L, and was wondering if anyone had any experience using multiple choice questions to study for their 1L exams.  Obviously. there are very few profs who give multiple choice exams (my school doesn't have any, from what I know), but has anyone used the Lexis/Nexis "Q&A" series to help study for "traditional" law school exams?

Current Law Students / Bar Review Courses
« on: July 30, 2005, 10:34:04 AM »
I'm an incoming 1L, and from what my friends who are law students have told me, very soon after I start my first semester, we'll be asked if we want to enroll in bar review classes (whether they be BarBri, PMBR, or whatever have you).  Will there be a significant savings if I put down the deposit when first asked, or is it something that can wait?

Current Law Students / Forced Curve...What Is It?
« on: July 27, 2005, 06:10:02 AM »
I'm an incoming 1L, and I know this may be a dumb question, but I'm sure someone here can help me.  What exactly is a forced curve, and how does it work?

Current Law Students / "Law In A Flash" Cards
« on: July 23, 2005, 09:59:36 AM »
Someone on Ebay is selling a set of 12 boxes of Law In A Flash cards.  When asked how old they were, he responded that he bought them in 1996.  I'm going to be a 1L this Fall, and from alla coounts, the cards would be helpful to me.  Should I grab these 12 boxes at the amazing price that he has set, or are they too old to be worth anything?

Current Law Students / Massachusetts School of Law
« on: March 26, 2005, 04:04:13 PM »
Does anyone know anything about the Massachusetts School of Law, the non-ABA law school in Andover, MA?  It was one of the schools I was accepted to, and I'm curious to know if anyone knows anything about it.

Which is a better criminal procedure primer, Examples and Explanations or Understanding Criminal Procedure, and why is one better than the other?

Current Law Students / You're all in law school, so maybe you can help
« on: December 19, 2004, 11:38:13 AM »
I took the Dec. LSAT, and if I go by my diagnostics, my score will be anywhere from 140-147.  I have a 2.56 GPA, certificate from paralegal studies program (with honors), and 4 yrs paralegal work experience.  From your experiences, will this get me into ANY ABA law school?

Current Law Students / Question for law students
« on: December 12, 2004, 10:23:17 AM »
Would the following "misconduct," if fully disclosed, prevent one from being admitted to law school, or to the State Bar... Being asked to resign from your place of employment (as  freedom of information officer) for using office resources (phone, fax) for making personal freedom of information requests?

Law School Admissions / One More Terri Schiavo Thread
« on: March 26, 2005, 05:52:59 AM »
I find something incredibly ironic...Terri Schiavo's are using the judiciary and the legal system to keep their daughter alive, but at the same time, her father is claiming that Terri's death is a "judicial homicide."  This is an extreme case of an abuse of the judiciary, and they need to stop.  If Terri were cogent, I find it hard to believe that she -- or anyone -- would approve of her parent's abuse of the legal system.  It's time for the Schindler's to let their daughter die a peaceful death.
