Studying for the LSAT / There is Hope
« on: January 26, 2006, 01:16:26 AM »
I started out last year and took a few tests screwing around. I got a 150, and I think a 151 I scheduled the LSAT and signed up for a powerscore course. I went to the course 4 times and I liked it but I was too busy with work. Rescheduled my LSAT date three times and never studied. I read the LRB and I took a few more tests I Was in the 153-156 range doing bad on reading comp and LR and games. I decided to go through the LRB and the LGB and just start reading a lot more focused. The last two tests I took. One was a 166 and the next one was 159. The questions I got wrong were mostly little stupid mistakes that I picked up on upon reviewing. The 159 I got 13 right on games. I have about 40 preptests left to take and I really feel I can score a 170 on the test. Last year I wanted to throw up anytime I looked at a practice LSAT, so there is hope

Studying for the LSAT / Does this happen to anybody on here?

On the LR sections I can't figure out why the right answer is correct, but I can figure why the four answers are wrong. I mean this isn't all the time but on really tough questions this seems to be the case now. I think I'm making a LSAT break through

Studying for the LSAT / Study Plan !!
« on: January 14, 2006, 10:53:28 PM »
I'm moving my test from Feb to June, I'm in the middle of renovating my house and I can't find the time between work to study. I'm ready now to buckle down and study this is my plan

I'm reading the LGB and LRB again, just to cover anything that I might have missed.

I'm weak in games because of lack of practice so

I'm doing 3-4 preptests a week and reviewing them thoroughly. I'm scoring in the mid 150's now and I'm doing horribly on games because of lack of study effort. I can get the score up a few points just on games. my goal is to score over 165 I just hope by doing 40 test that I can improve my RC score

what do you guys think of my plan?

Studying for the LSAT / Reading Comp
« on: January 12, 2006, 01:30:30 AM »
ok I'm getting pretty consistent in all the other sections of the LSAT but Reading Comp is killing me I've taken about 5 practice tests and my reading comps have been 14,17,14,19,11 correct I got killed on the last one..

I was wondering if anyone was in the same position as me. What did you do to increase the score?

If I'm interested in the passage I usually get almost all the answers right but if I'm not interested in the subject matter, I feel like someone is hitting my head with a sledge hammer.

Studying for the LSAT / LSAT eye health thread
« on: January 10, 2006, 01:58:03 AM »
I was taking a few test and as crazy as it sounds I was getting really tired after the first two sections, I would feel like going to bed at around 9PM, I usually go to bed around 3 am. I broke my reading glasses and went to the Doctor to get a new pair made. I got my routine eye exam and I found out that I have a astigmatism in one of my eyes causing me to get really tired while reading. I know this is going to sound crazy but I was actually happy to hear this because I had trouble reading for long periods of time. Just some advice for any people on this board having a similar problem
