If you apply for your private loans with a cosigner, does the lender run a credit check on both parties (the cosigner as well as the borrower) or just the cosigner?
Also, if both are run, how are the two scores used to determine interest rates? Is the cosigner's score used to give you better interest rates on the loan or is some sort of middle ground between the two scores used to determine the interest rate of your private loan?
Any insight would be great, thanks!

I am going to Villanova and I have been looking around the area and online at apartments. It took me some time to come up with a list of (seemingly) nice, close, reasonably priced apartments that have W/D in unit (really important to me), so I thought I would post some of the places I came up with for any others who are looking:
(All are within 5 miles of Villanova)
Bryn Mawr Gables (866) 304-8017 ext. 5607 806 Montgomery Avenue Bryn Mawr, PA 19010
Mermont Plaza Apartments (866) 304-9773 ext. 3501 901 Montgomery Avenue Bryn Mawr, PA 19010
Strafford Station Apartments (866) 510-5853 ext. 3217 400-2D Strafford Avenue Wayne, PA 19087
The Westchester Apartments (866) 516-9783 ext. 2503 2201 West Chester Pike Broomall, PA 19008
Brynwood Apartments (866) 255-8158 ext. 3077 250 East Wynnewood Road Wynnewood, PA 19096
Belmont Village Apartments (866) 438-5324 ext. 8295 200 Ross Road King of Prussia, PA 19406
The Marquis (866) 875-4734 ext. 1495 251 West DeKalb Pike King Of Prussia, PA 19406
La Maison 219 Sugartown Road Strafford-Wayne, PA 19087
Haven't looked at all of these yet, though, so keep that in mind.

I finally caved today and called Temple's admission office to inquire about the status of my application since it has been more than 13 weeks since my file went complete and they gave an 8-12 week timeline. The woman on the phone told me that my decision "just went out so I should be receiving it any day." Does this mean no acceptance? I assume if the decision was an acceptance she would have/could have told me over the phone, right? Anyone called and had acceptance confirmed via telephone?

Last week I received my acceptance letter from Catholic. Today I came home to find another letter from Catholic in the mail. I opened it only to find that the letter itself was addressed to someone else!
Instead of being addressed to Kait Smith, it was addressed to "Different first name" Smith, whose address is states away from mine.
The letter congratulated her on her acceptance and said that, based on her credentials and personal accomplishments, CUA recognizes that she faces a challenging decision in selecting which law school to attend. It goes on to invite her to the Introduction to CUA 2-Day Program for admitted students and then some other open house opportunities later in April.
I frantically ran to retrieve my original acceptance letter to ensure that, yes, it was my name on the top of that one! Fortunately it was. I'm calling them tomorrow to let them know about the mixup, but now I'm curious. Do all students get this second letter or only ones who seem less inclined to choose Catholic bc of high numbers or something? Hmm...

I have searched around, but cannot seem to find specific info on how Villanova's acceptance comes.
I've heard it goes to the permanent address. Is it a regular sized envelope, or a large packet?
Any acceptees have information to share?

Are law school admission offices and/or admission committees active on Saturday? (ie. - do they review apps, send email decisions, etc.)

My acceptance to Syracuse came today! First one, and a big relief.

I've heard rumors that as it gets later in the application cycle, schools tend to rely more heavily on their index when reviewing applications and give less consideration to "soft factors" like PS, recs, WE because of the volume of applications with which they are dealing and the associated time crunch.
Do you think there is any truth to this?

All my reports have long been requested with the exception of Villanova. Anyone notice that Villanova takes awhile, or should I get in touch?

Just wondering what everyone's opinion on LSN is...do you think that the span of numbers on there is pretty indicative of what kind of stats the general applicant pool has for the given school? Or do you think that the people listing on this site, if their numbers were averaged, would yield a higher average than that of the entire applicant pool? (I'm basing this on the assumption that maybe LSN posters are a little more concerned and over-zealous than some other applicants who have not sought out such a sight.)
Just wondering.
