Law School Admissions / My shot at law school just went down the toilet!
« on: September 14, 2004, 12:56:08 PM »
They finally completed my Academic Report and it was worse than I expected.  I had bounced around the country and went to four schools, I screwed around for a few years and got horrible grades, but then I decided to get serious for my last 2 years and had a 3.8 gpa. I have been working full time for over four years and I guess I forgot how bad I did those first 2 years.  They are giving me a cumulative gpa of 2.72.

I don't think I will break a 155 on the GMAT, so I guess I'm screwed.  It just doesn't seem right that you screw around when you are 17 and 18 years old and then you end up paying for it 7 years later.

Thanks for listening to me female dog.

I can see that they have them, but they have not done an academic report.  Does anyone know how long it takes them after receiving the transcripts.  Thank you.

Studying for the LSAT / First LSAT score, and I am freakin out.

I just took my first practice test.  I got a 145.  I guessed on every question in the games section and got 4 correct.  I know that once I learn how to do the games my score should improve, but this can't be a good score.
Can anyone tell me how bad this is?  Thanks.

What are the norms, as far as words, length, etc., for these two?

Law School Admissions / GPA ?
« on: August 18, 2004, 06:23:54 AM »
I am only applying to a second tier school, however my grades were BAD (like a 1.0) for my first two years, and then I took some time off of school, came back and got a 3.8 for my second two years.  I graduated four and a half years ago and have been working full time since graduation.  Do you think that those first two years at school are going to screw me up, assuming I do decent/average on the LSAT?
Thanks for any help.

Canadian Law Students / Have a lot of ?s about studying in Canada
« on: August 17, 2004, 05:12:59 AM »
My wife wants to move to Canada (from the US).  I am in the process of looking at law schools and now I need to know everything about Canadian law schools.  I am curious about costs, admissions, etc.
Does anyone know of a good web site or two that I could use to start researching this?

Thank you for any help.
