am i the only one NOT briefing?
unless i have to write a brief(for lrw or elements) i just jot down a few quick notes on the cases i read. i dont care to waste my time typing up a full brief, i just want to isolate the main legal issue that is resolved in each case. i dont see what else is going to be important for exams. is this a mistake? 3

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / anyone moving to chicago area and need furniture?« on: May 13, 2005, 08:04:41 PM »
im moving out of my apt in about 3 weeks and looking to sell my dining room table, bed, tv stand, and desk.
the dining room table is nice, its a dark cherry wood and comes with 4 chairs. desk is kinda cheapy, but it is really big and nice for holding my huge monitor and still allowing for plenty of writing room(ill also throw in my desk chair). the tv stand is just a little black thing with a swivel top and a two door cabinet on the bottom for storing dvd's and other things. the bed is a really nice queen size, i didnt cheap out and paid a good deal for the luxury model(i cant remember what brand and im too lazy to go check now, but i can get those details if anyone is interested). if anyone might be interested, let me know and i can email you some pics. if you arent going to move in until later in the summer you can just throw the stuff into public storage for a month or two. 5

what do you guys think about living at home with parents during 1L? at first i was totally against the idea, but the more i think about it the more i realize that it wouldnt be all bad.
pro's: big ass plasma tv and surround sound speakers for relaxation time pool and jacuzzi home cooked meals and laundry done(ocassionally) close to school save money on rent and buying stuff for an apartment con's: living with parents(sometimes annoying) and lack of privacy any other pro's or con's you guys can think of? 7

what do you guys think about forcing pharmacits to fill prescriptions that they may object to for religious reasons(like morning after pills)? this seems like a hot topic lately, i jsut read some article about it in the washington post.
i think its fine to do so since pharmacists are licensed by the state to perform a service that is a vital part of maintaining public health. i dont think they should be allowed to pick and choose waht prescriptions they want to fill because if they are allowed to do so, itll be impossible to stop them from refusing to fill prescriptions for any drug for any reason imaginable. i am also drunk and about to leave so i apologize if this makes no sense 8
