Studying for the LSAT / When can we get our score again?
« on: October 12, 2004, 05:05:44 PM »
Sorry if this info is available somewhere, but I'm a bit dim. Can we call and find out this Saturday (2 weeks after)? Also, is it already past the deadline for cancelling? Thanks.

Studying for the LSAT / Oct. LR-Old man gets fired...
« on: October 12, 2004, 04:49:55 PM »
What did you people put? I put that it assumes that "no other factors prevented Mr.X from being promoted." The other possibility was that it "assumes the other older men had younger competitors." I think this was a decoy, however. What do y'all think?

Studying for the LSAT / Will they hand grade your LSAT?
« on: October 12, 2004, 04:33:42 PM »
I'm left handed and I'm worried that I might have smudged a few answers during the test. If I get back a score that is abysmally low compared to what I think I got, can I ask them to grade it manually? I thought I saw this option mentioned somewhere. Thanks.

LSAC and LSDAS / What if a phone number changes on app?
« on: October 12, 2004, 03:41:25 AM »
If I need to change a phone number that I've put on my submitted app, how should I tell the school to change it? Should I just e-mail them or is there a more decorous way to go about it? Thanks.

Law School Applications / question for grammarians...
« on: September 14, 2004, 08:40:30 PM »
OK, I need the truth here. Can you start a sentence with either "but", "and", or "because"? I've heard it both ways, and I've seen intellectuals do all of the above. So I really have no clue. This has always bugged me. Thanks.

Studying for the LSAT / How many tests in last 2 weeks?
« on: September 14, 2004, 08:36:18 PM »
I've been saving up, and I'm thinking of taking 14 in the last 2 weeks, one per day. Do you think this will burn me out or is it a good idea? I usually feel ready to go again the next day, but I've never does this many in a row. Comments?

Law School Applications / Format for addendums?
« on: September 11, 2004, 09:29:28 PM »
Do you just attach them, or should you at least write "Addendum" at the top? Should you be more specific, like "Convictions Addendum"? For having the reputation of being a meticulous profession, these law schools are pretty damn bad at being definite about this stuff. Thanks.

Personal Statement / Stanford...optional essays?
« on: September 11, 2004, 04:39:00 PM »
I've pored over their application and website, and I haven't been able to find any reference at all to an optional essay "opportunity". I'm sure people are sending them in, but do they expect us to psychically intuit that it's acceptable? Any thoughts?

Law School Applications / Anybody else being negligent with classes?
« on: September 10, 2004, 05:22:46 PM »
I'm so stressed out about law school admission that I barely pay attention to my classes. I know I need to keep my grades up, but I figure they probably won't affect my admission one way or the other. What do you think?

General Off-Topic Board / How do I get into xoxohth!?
« on: September 10, 2004, 05:02:35 PM »
I've been trying to register with those goddamn bastards all friggin week, and I still haven't gotten a response. I dig the humor over there, but not enough to be treated like a damn insect. Has anybody tried to register there and gotten in? Is there something special I have to do? It's just the principle, at this point. Thanks fellas.
