My goal after law school is to work a few years in BigLaw to pay off loans, then I hope ro return home to make a run for state legislature and possibly Governer's Office and/or US Congress afterwards.

Here is my questions: looking at the bios of my state's past governors, I see majority of them have attended law school at the local state institution rather than T14.  Same is true for the senators in the state legislature.  Am I making a mistake by going to T14?  Maybe I'd be better off by attending the T1 law school in my state and attempt to graduate at the top of my class.

Where should I go next fall? / Northwestern or UK + full ride?

Hey everyone, I have a dilemma I hope everyone can help me out with.

I received my acceptance letter from Northwestern (my top choice  ;D).  However, the University of Kentucky has offered a substantial amount of scholarship with the promise that I'd be very competitive for the full-tuition + living expense scholarship.

If I indeed do receive the offer; should I go to NLS (assuming no scholarship) or take UK's offer and run?

I have no idea what I want to do after law school.  I'm interested in BigLaw, but don't want to put in the requisite 65+ hours per week - I still want a life!!

Any input would be appreciated...
