Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Anyone heading to Baylor?
« on: April 15, 2008, 08:55:18 PM »
Just wanting to know some people thoughts/feelings on going to Baylor. UH is my 1st choice but have not heard from them. If I have not heard by this Monday, I am signing on the dotted line at Baylor where my classes start May 12th.

Any fellow Bears? Advice, etc.?

Just wondering what happens if you miss a seat deposit deadline . I missed one for my third choice school. My acceptance letter w/deadline came over the holiday when I was on vacation and I read the letter on Monday (the same day as deadline). How "final" is that deadline? Should I call today 3/25 and let them know. Would 3/26 be too late to call?? Anyone had the same situation?

Choosing the Right Law School / UH Vs Baylor??
« on: February 09, 2008, 02:44:44 PM »
Got in at Baylor summer with 1/2 tuition. First choice was UH, but now I am considering Baylor bc of the money. I do not want to do litigation and am intimidated by Baylors rep on intensity, curve and litigation classes that are required. I am from Houston and went to UH undergrad. I am really torn bt the two. I am thinking about Employment/Labor Law, but am keeping my options open.

anyone else torn bt Baylor and UH.

Need advice!!

Incoming 1Ls / Going PT: Work Weekdays or Weekends?
« on: January 14, 2008, 10:31:06 AM »
I sent a couple of part-time applications and am wondering what would be best. Part-time classes are M-Th from 6-9. Should I work 3-4 hours/day or just work 2-full days on weekends. I am looking for a menial job, ie receptionist or just something to help pay the bills the first year.

Are there many group/study sessions and when are they mostly held.

This is a weird question I know, just curious what other people are planning.

I am willing to read and edit PS, DS, etc. I have sent my apps and am returning the favor for those who read mine. Now, I have nothing else to do.

Feel free to PM or email them over. I have a pretty close eye.

Im am down to final final revisions, any takers? (I also have a character/fitness adendum if any takers there too)

I am of course willing to return the favor...

Any more readers for my character and fitness addendum? Thanks.

Hi. I have already cut down my original PS to about 660 words, but need to cut it down to 500. Can someone please help edit to the limit without losing substance.

I am willing to swap statements if needed.

Anyone willing to read my character/fitness?? Feedback is much appreciated...

Should computer skills be on the resume? is this at all relevant or wasted space?
