Transferring / GPA/Rank Questions - GPA versus Percentages...« on: June 14, 2006, 03:45:02 PM »
I'm just wondering how law schools calculate your GPA and class rank. Do they do it strictly on a 4.0 scale or take the percentage you received per class? I would think they would have to take the actual grade recieved in classes to get rank since there could be numerous people with the same GPA. Any ideas??

Did anyone get "soft grades" at the end of there 1st semester of school? By soft I mean grades that will be counted as 50% of your full year grades.

I took my exam about a week ago and I'm still wondering... I have two parties. One guy owns a thrift store. The other guy is a copy machine distributor. The guy from the thrift store orders a copy machine, doesn't know much about them though.
Can the thrift store guy be considered a merchant under this hypo? I know he does not "hold himself out as having knowledge, blah. blah, but I thought he could potentially deal in the "goods of the kind". I fear the worst on this one. 7

Reggie and Matt had been negotiating for days for Reggie to build a shed for Matt. Pete was a good friend of both and sat in during their negotiations, and volunteered to type up their contract when they had reached an agreement.
Reggie met with Pete and had him type up the terms of the K, which he thought they agreed upon. Reggie signed this agreement. The next day Pete met with Matt and showed him the terms. Matt pretty much agreed with them all except the price, whereupon he crossed out the price of $4000, and made it $3000. Then he too signed the agreement. Reggie purchased all of the shed building materials without any further conversations with Matt. Reggie calls Matt to say his ready and Matt tells him that he has changed his mind and doesn't want a shed anymore. What are Reggie's rights against Matt? Any input is welcome. 8

In analyzing a Contracts Exam question, where is the best place to start? For example,I have a question where it's clear to me that the Contract is valid; however it's an issue of what terms will be included under the UCC 2-207. I also see that I should bring up the Statute of the Frauds,etc. But should I answer a question like that starting with consideration, offer and acceptance, etc....

I'm in school part-time and trying to determine the best plan of attach for studying? Anybody have any tips for what worked best for them?
