Where should I go next fall? / NYU or Georgetown w/ $
« on: April 18, 2008, 10:22:25 AM »
Help!  My considerations are:

1.  Some money from Gtown vs. no money from NYU
2.  I've lived in NYC for a long time and I love it, but would be up for trying somewhere new
3.  I want to study international law
4.  I might want to get a joint degree in international affairs

Law School Applications / No word from Harvard?
« on: April 03, 2008, 03:02:53 PM »
Coming up on 4 months since I went complete.  I spoke with someone in the admissions office and they said they would make a decision by "late spring" which to them means May or June.  Does anyone else find this strange (that one could find out they are waitlisted in June)?  Is anyone else in this situation?  I haven't heard anything - no emails, calls, etc.  What does it all mean??

Law School Applications / Berkeley decision in "mid-February"?
« on: February 21, 2008, 09:58:48 AM »
Did anyone else get that email back in December about passing initial review, etc. that said we would receive a decision in mid-February?  I'm pretty sure "mid-February" has come and gone and I haven't heard anything!  Bad sign?  Good sign?  Paranoia? Anyone else experiencing this?

Reviews, Visits, and Rankings / NYU v Georgetown for international law
« on: January 03, 2008, 04:02:37 PM »
Which school, NYU or Georgetown, has a better reputation in international law?  Does the answer change if you're talking about public (international organizations) vs private (transactional)?

On a similar note, would a joint JD-MSFS at Georgetown be preferable to a JD at NYU with a masters at JFK or Woodrow Wilson?  I haven't been able to find much about the reputations of the various joint degree programs.
