« on: February 27, 2008, 03:33:07 AM »
This is a serious question.  Are they considered cool to wear, for example, around campus?

In everyoneís opinion, how do you think the difficultly levels (as a law student, not getting in) of Duke, Michigan, and Cornell would compare?

Law School Applications / Gift for LOR writer?
« on: November 27, 2007, 09:20:58 PM »
Is it inappropriate to give some sort of gift (chocolates, gift card) to a letter of recommendation writer? I know that a couple of mine spent considerable time on my LORs, and I feel as if I should thank them by more than just a thank-you card.  Any thoughts?

Law School Applications / Continued interest letter
« on: November 24, 2007, 05:09:58 AM »
I know this is a little early, but after the New Year, should you send schools a letter pertaining to your continued interest if they havenít made a decision yet, or just if you are waitlisted?  And for these letters, when should they be sent (how far after the New Year), what should be the length of the letter, and would the letter be sent directly to the law school admissions office?  Any suggestions would be great.  Thanks

Law School Applications / When law schools call youÖ
« on: November 17, 2007, 04:31:57 AM »
For the law schools that call to tell you your accepted, what exactly do they say?  Is it a strait up congratulations, or do they try to gauge whether or not your going to the school.  How in depth is it?

Law School Applications / Just a thought?

To explain a low LSAT (assuming you have a higher one), couldnít you just say you mis-bubbled.  I donít think that law schools can get a hold of your actual sheet.

Law School Applications / BC admissions?
« on: November 15, 2007, 11:43:57 AM »
I got an e-mail saying that BC received my application.  Will there be another one saying Iíve gone complete, or does this one mean Iíve gone complete?  Thanks

Law School Applications / Release info to ABA

For the GPA, do law schools release the GPA from your undergraduate school or the LSDAS GPA after it has been recalculated to the ABA?

Law School Applications / Going complete Ė why so long?
« on: November 09, 2007, 01:28:43 AM »
So when you send you app, the school has to request it.  This can take however long the school takes to request it, which makes sense.  What Iím confused about is that when the school requests it, and then it is processed, doesnít it get sent directly to the school online (assuming they donít ask for a hard copy).  Why does this usually take 1-2 weeks, or longer (assuming you have everything required, such as a sufficient number of LORs)
