Where should I go next fall? / ASW questions

OK, so I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I'm wondering for ASWs and scholarship interview weekends, what is the typical dress code? Obviously you should dress up for interviews, but what about the rest of the weekend? Also, are your required to take part in all of the activities? Can you miss a dinner or lunch?

Law School Applications / Which soft factors really are significant?

I see a lot of people on LSN list different types of things as their soft factors. My question is, what soft factors actually make a big difference? I know that being a URM makes a difference. Also, I've seen/read that being a legacy can be quite a boost.

Other people have said that doing Peace Corps, TFA, or being in the military can be significant factors. Of course, people mention being a published author or having won major awards as being a good factor. What other soft factors do people think make an impact on an application?

I have had horrible writer's block writing this essay the past week, but I think I finally have a basic version. I could really use some reviews, but I am a bit pressed for time. Is anyone willing to take a look? I would be really, really appreciative.

Site Suggestions and Announcements / Does anyone know why I would keep showing up as banned?

Lately whenever I try to read the boards or post anything (that is if I can read), I get a message saying I've been banned from the boards. This is the first time I've been able to post at all, and that's only after I deleted all cookies and files for about the 10th time. I've run virus checks, tried loading from different locations, etc. Does anyone know why I might keep showing up as banned from the board? I've only made a handful of posts, and I don't think any have been offensive or against the rules. This board is a great resource, and I would like to be able to use it.
