Denver / Random Questions/General Discussion Thread

This page will make it so we don't have to use the thread on the admissions page. Bookmark this one.

How do we know which books that we have to purchase have a new edition this year without going to the bookstore? I am looking to get them online and save a ton of money, but it looks like all the cheap books I need to buy are last years edition. Do I just wait until I can go to the bookstore next week and check them out?

What percent of full-time students have classes on Friday?

So, how much? Unfortunately the schools I want to attend are not visible. On school has the next street over covered but the other school is too far off the beaten path.

But drop the street view man in San Diego, it is gorgeous there.

People are making DU threads like crazy. Let's just have one so that there doesn't need to be so many circulating out there. Matthies and others are DU students so you can ask any questions here. So let's just keep using this thread in general.

Just in case you are wondering, here are the old threads. Look in here before you post and then post new comments in this one.

To me, rankings are only legit within four categories:

1. T14
2. T1
3. T2
4. The rest

Other than that, like within a tier, ranking seem rather worthless. Mostly because the difference isn't very accurate within these categories. And regional issues creates a different problem.

Definitely worth the read.

Law School Applications / University of Denver- MyWeb

Can I ask all University of Denver applicants a favor? Can you check your myweb page and see if under Student and Financial Aid tab, and then under the category Registration. If I do that there is an option to withdraw from DU. Do you have that also. I want to know if that means I am accepted. Also, there is another option right above the withdraw option that says COF Stipend. I am probably being naive in thinking that means I maybe got a stipend?

Can you help me out?

Also, does anyone know how to post a picture? I will just take a screen shot and post it if someone tells me how to post a picture.
