L.L.M. Board / U of Washington(UW) Tax LLM
« on: July 14, 2013, 07:46:26 AM »
Hi guys, I have been accepted to UW tax LLM in Seattle and waitlisted at Gtown tax LLM (most likely will be rejected).I am interested in tax law and did some clinical work in tax controversy at my law school's legal tax clinic for 2 semesters. Do you think UW tax LLM is worth the investment even with its tuition being half of Gtown's. Is there any demand still for new tax lawyers in Seattle or rest of the country for that matter. Does UW's tax LLM have a good reputation regionally or nationally? Will a tax LLM from UW help in landing a legal tax job?

 Thanks

Transferring / Cooley with 50% scholarship to MSU with nothing worth it
« on: November 29, 2010, 08:01:58 AM »
Hi guys I am a 1L at cooley in the top 10% with 3.6 gpa and 50% scholarship, I was wondering if it worth paying the extra $18000 per year to attend Michigan State University Law school as they are not  offering anything. I heard you can not do law review or moot court there and the school is not particulary good to trasferees. Is the name worth transfering for in terms of Job prospects in usa or canada.

Transferring / Cooley to somewhere
« on: June 06, 2010, 04:01:19 AM »
Hi guys I am a 1L at Cooley its a tier 4 law school and am getting 50% scholarship here, in the top 10% of the class(3.5 gpa) they grade on a C curve.

I am considering transferring to MSU but I was just wondering if it is worth the extra $60,000 i d have to pay to attend MSU over the next few yrs as it is only a tier above cooley. At this point i dont really know where I want to practice I might even go back to Canada cause thats where I am from originally.

So what do you guys recommend or are there any others schools better suited for Candians wanting to go back to Canada that you guys would advice transfering to.

thanks

Studying for the LSAT / TM Online resources
« on: September 02, 2008, 06:15:34 PM »
Hi there I was wondering if anybody currently enrolled in a TestMasters course could let me know what they offer in terms of their online resources, do they have video lessons or explanation of logical reasoning question etc. I ask because I took their course in june 2007 and their lesson books were nothing more that piles of lsat questions with NO explanations whatsoever and online they had more of the same with mayb 3-4 question explained in the video by Robin Singh himself. So I was wondering if they upgraded their online resources yet so as to make it worth doing the course again or is it still the same ol crap.
