Current Law Students / To law or not to law
« on: September 27, 2006, 12:33:21 PM »
I'm considering going into patent law. I'm just finishing my MS and already have a BS in Computer Engineering. Can anyone recommend specific books, blogs, or any other resources which can help me make my decision? Law school costs time and money, and I really want to be sure this is what I want. Although money is a big incentive, I really want to know if I would enjoy this profession.

Current Law Students / dropping MS for Law School
« on: April 13, 2006, 08:30:32 AM »
Hi.

I'm considering dropping out of my Master's in Computer Engineering program and I want to apply to Law School for Fall 07. I already have a B.S. in Comp Eng. Could dropping from the M.S. have a negative effect on my chances to enter Law School? I'm not thinking of dropping because I want to go to Law School, but because it's not what I thought it would be and I don't really feel motivated to stay. I've heard people say that all that matters is undergrad GPA and LSAT. So I just want to know if they'll care about the fact that I started a Master's and didn't finish it, or they'll simply ignore it.

Law School Admissions / Do LSAT percentiles include part-time admissions?
« on: December 24, 2007, 12:33:49 PM »
I posted this on the Law School Rankings forum, but there's not much action there.

Does anyone know if the 25th-75th percentile stats for admitted law students include those admitted for part-time studies? I'm looking to enter GWU part-time. I've got a LSAT score of 158, undergrad GPA 3.76 and M.S. GPA 3.50, both in Computer Engineering. Do I have bad, decent or good chances to get in?

Studying for the LSAT / LR Bible worth it at this point?
« on: November 06, 2007, 06:27:03 PM »
I decided late to take the LSAT in December 1. I've been studying the Games bible but haven't finished it. Is it worth it to spend $65 on the LR bible at this point and try to breeze through it, or should I just go for practice tests? Other recommendations are welcome.
