I finally have a draft that I'm happy with - would anyone be willing to take a look at it for me? I can do the same for anyone that needs some feedback.

I finally wrote a draft that I think is workable - anyone willing to take a look at it for me? I'd be happy to reciprocate.

How colloquial are folks being in their statements? I find that it sounds really unnatural to avoid "isn't" and "shouldn't" sometimes, but I have no idea what admissions staff think about this. Any thoughts?

I've been working for a member of congress for about a year and am wondering whether or not it's worth it to have him write (or sign, more accurately) an LOR for me. I already have letters from my college thesis advisor and a former boss that I did research for, and I could have another good academic letter if I decide to ask for it.

My thinking is that letters from members of congress are probably pretty overused and I don't think it would be written any better than my other letters. Does anyone have thoughts on this? Does a letter from a member of congress carry any weight that another letter wouldn't?
