Rising 2L's: What is the best piece of advice you can give to the rising 1L's about what to expect or how to succeed in their first year of law school?
Me: Do your own thing and don't be intimidated by everyone else. There will always be people who study harder than you or who live in the library. Don't try to measure yourself against anyone else, just find what works for you and DO IT!
Also, allow yourself to enjoy the experience. There is so much to love about the first year of law school and if you are buying into the "1L is hell" hype you might just miss it.

I figure that everyone probably has a better idea of what to expect on exams and are probably better prepared second semester. Also, some people who just flat-out didn't know how to take exams have talked with Profs or just figured it out. So, my question is, how much better do you have to be second semester to get the same or better grades? I feel like I'm doing better on my exams and I'm hoping it is enough to at least maintain my grades from first semester. Experiences?
LSD posters, friends.
I'm asking for your help. TimMitchell, the new cycle upstart, is trying to steal my title as the Most Helpful Poster on LSD. Vote for me and help me to put this young buck back in his place. Also, feel free to suggest an alternate title for TimMitchell.

I call this meeting of the International Shoe Club to order.
So, anybody buy any nice shoes lately?
I just bought a pair very similar to these for law school:
They were more practical than I normally would pick, but I figure I will be doing a fair amount of walking in them. Very, very comfortable.
