Studying for the LSAT / rule representation/diagram
« on: October 29, 2007, 04:12:27 PM »
How is this rule diagrammed?

"If it is not the case that the park contains both laurels and oaks, then it contains firs and spruces."

Thx!

Could someone post the answers if they have them? I'm working, and I forgot to bring the answer sheet.

Thanks Michael

Studying for the LSAT / June 2005 games, rule question
« on: September 23, 2007, 05:27:49 PM »
Each side if four cassette tapes --Tapes 1 through 4 -- contains exactly... folk, hip-hop, jazz, and rock.

the the rule states, Tape 1 has jazz on at least one side, but neither hip-hop nor rock.

Why does this not preclude Hip-hop from either of the sides?  I, mistakely, though it meant Jazz in on one side or both, but Rock and Hip-hop cannot be on the other.

Thx.

LSAT horror stories / F-18s
« on: August 07, 2007, 04:32:09 PM »
While this is technically not a LSAT horror story, it is apropos.

Iím taking the Seattle PowerScore course, and during our proctored diagnostic test, the blue angels were flying about 100 feet about the building!  It's amazing how LOUD they are...

Fortunately, it was only during the last half of the last section of reading comprehension, but it sure was difficult to concentrate.  There is nothing like having 6 F-18 flying right above you during the LSAT.

Studying for the LSAT / Seattle Powerscore
« on: July 16, 2007, 04:32:43 PM »
Is anyone taking the Seattle PowerScore course this August?

For that matter, has anyone taken the PowerScore course in Seattle and/or had good or bad experiences?

I've read the LRB and LGB cover to cover, yet I've not taken a timed test.  Essentially, I am curious if the course provides information beyond the book.  Also, I'm taking it because of the new reading section.
