What are we looking at here? Has anyone sent one in relatively recently(ie 2 weeks or less) and had it processed yet? LSAC said 10 business days right now, but I don't trust them anyway

For schools such as penn and michigan which allow you to do optional essays, are most people doing them? I understand if you want to write an essay explaining an academic issue(low gpa/lsat, etc) or a diversity essay, but other than that, are people choosing to write these optional essays?

So now that I finally have a decent senior year schedule, I have a lot more time for things such as community service. I am applying to be a tutor as well as to one other volunteer program. My question is, will the adcoms think that I am "padding" my resume right before applications are due, since I haven't been too active in extracurriculars up to now? I remember people warning me about this before applying to college, but I'm not sure about law school. Any advice/opinions about this??

Does anyone understand the whole electronic signature thing? Does it mean thta once you electronically submit your app you have "signed" it, or is there actually some form that you're supposed to send as well??

For the NYU app, there is a section for employment during the semester, one for full time employment whenever, and one for on campus activities...what about a summer internship that was 3 days/week? I don't want to lie and say that this was full time, but there is really nowhere else to put it...any suggestions?

So I went to their website today, and it seems like you are able to fully fill out Columbia's online application...maybe you just can't send it this early, but it seems to be up to date, I created a new file and they gave me a user name, etc.
