I have seen that Hofstra has begun sending out acceptances, so I'd thought I'd offer to answer any questions anyone had regarding both school and social life. Just post them on this board and I will respond as soon as possible.

Good luck to everyone with their applications

I hear a lot of talk about biglaw and small and medium size firms and how biglaw tends to make the most money. I am interested in possibly specializing in family law and was wondering what kind of job prospects there will be for me. If anyone has any knowledge or has a job in family law already, any information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I couldn't make it up to the Admitted Student's Day this past weekend so i was wondering if anyone here went and what their opinion of the school was. Comments and Opinions are greatly appreciated.

On a side note, i am most likely sending in my seat deposit this week unless they somehow blow me away on my tour of UF and convince me to stay in Florida for the rest of my life. Also was waitlisted at UNC and UVA, so if something happens with one of them i might change my mind.

Thanks to those that post.

Law School Admissions / Why hasn't UVA rejected me????

Even though i was given a fee waiver to apply, i didn't think that my 159/3.97 stood a chance at getting in... I applied back in november and see that uva is sending out rejection letters, do you think they are waiting for a reason? On another note, I called UF the other day and my application is on hold there and it is uncertain when they will make a decision.

Is anyone else experiencing these frustrations??

Law School Admissions / Negotiating Scholarships?

Does anyone know if it is common to ask schools for more money? For example, i got 25k from a school but would want at least 30k to make it reasonable for me to go to an out of state school. If anyone has asked for extra money or know someone who has, please post the results.

I am not sure what date to put down for the time i have spent in college I am currently a senior. Should i put my graduation date in may or should i put this month???

If anyone knows please write back

I did my final draft and just want some feedback.

If there anybody that wants to take a read through my personal statement and give some feedback that would be great. If there is anybody with a lot of knowledge of what law schools look for in a personal statement i'd appreciate the help. I think mine is pretty good but would like some criticism.

Studying for the LSAT / Retake and schools

Hypothetical: If i re-take the test in september but turn in my application with my June score does lsac automatically send them my september score when it comes in??? I didn't get a bad score but i am considering retaking it for myself to see if i can improve but do not want it to effect my application if it is the same or lower.

If anyone has any knowledge of what happens I would appreciate it.
