Assuming I could acheive my maximum lsat score potential, realistically 169-171, and improve my applications (more why x essays, new lor's, etc.) for next cycle...do you think it would make any difference in how my cycle has turned out so far (see lsn below) considering my miserable gpa of 2.6? I think that my gpa is so low it would prohibit me from ever cracking T14 and leave me with slim chances at T25 even if I could break 170. Am I correct in this assumption? The bottomline is do you think waiting another year [which i would prefer not to do] and the risk of not doing better on the lsat is worth it for a small chance to get into a T25 next cycle
A lot of talk seems to focus on what it takes for BIGLAW and relating quality of schools in terms of placement ease in biglaw. I am primarily interested in working for the government after graduation [something along the lines of EPA, FERC, etc]. What is the general consensus of what it takes to land government jobs? Is it correct to assume federal is more competitive than state/city? DOJ, USAO, CIA toughest spots to land? Does T14 still dominant placement in govt positions? Does attendance at a public school have any impact? tyia!
General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / LSD 0L most likely to still be posting in the pre-law section as a 1L?« on: January 17, 2008, 04:27:19 PM »
