Law School Admissions / Harvard Status Checker Update
« on: February 11, 2008, 08:13:30 AM »
Anyone else's status checker get updated today? Current status date used to say Jan. 15, I went complete on Jan 24, and now the current status date says Feb 11.  Looks like maybe they're starting to look at later applications after the all the deferrals they sent out last week.  Totally expecting my rejection e-mail at any moment.

Law School Admissions / December Harvard applicants
« on: January 15, 2008, 09:12:17 AM »
I'm guessing we're towards the end of the line right now, but has anyone gone complete or gotten the e-mail or anything from Harvard that has applied in December or later?

All I've gotten so far is the survey for the student's research that got my hopes up for about 5 seconds.

Law School Admissions / Where to apply as a URM
« on: October 19, 2007, 07:36:19 PM »
I really need help on deciding on where to apply.  I scored a 162 on the LSAT, and my GPA on LSAC is 3.83 from good school.  I am an American Indian.  I identify culturally as an Indian and I grew up on the reservation.

My problem is this.  I've heard so many conflicting things about how American Indians are treated that I don't know if I should apply to schools where I'm in their 25-75% ranges or shoot higher.  I've heard on these boards that American Indians don't really get a boosts, and I've read that American Indians highly sought after.

I'd appreciate any suggestions you have for schools I should apply to and any insights you have about how American Indians fare in the application process.
