Law School Applications / ITT: We Say In Your Face!

My girlfriend and I were talking last night about the whole application process and it dawned on both of us the way certain co-workers judge you based on where you get into. As silly as it might sound, the thing that gives her the most apprehension is having to tell her co-workers that she did not get into a "good" law school. So, what happens if you do get into a good law school. Better than the one they got into? We agreed you just want to say "In Your Face!"

So, let's do it. Who else wants to say IN YOUR FACE!

Where should I go next fall? / Does a possible recession have you worried?

It seems quite clear that the economy is on the brink of a recession. How that will affect various industries is unclear but for anyone thinking of making long term decisions now (i.e. law school) it should be something we all give a little thought to. So, I am wondering if anyone is thinking about the consequences of a recession and how that will affect their decision to go to law school?

Don't get me wrong: a possible recession can be seen in two ways. Potentially, this could be a great opportunity for some people. How do you view it and in what way do you see going to law school in that context?

Law School Applications / Michigan Email

Did anyone else get an email from Michigan trying to alleviate concerns about the length of time it is taking them to make a decision on their file? At first, I read the email as a waitlist but, upon further reading, it does not appear to be one. The email was written to "early applicants" who have not yet received a decision. To be honest, I am not sure an email like that can be taken in a positive light.
