I was initially going to work both as a part-time, but the judge is requiring me to work at least 4 days a week. So, it seems like I would need to choose between the two.
I have a judicial internship lined up at District Court of N.J., and also a research assistant position with a professor who is going to do research on corporate/employment law. Corporate law is where I want to go into eventually.
Do I take the judicial internship or RA? Would it make such a big difference when I try to interview for a 2L summer job?

I just got a call from SLU to notify me that I got off their waitlist. But, they are putting me in what they called Accelerated Part-Time Program. I'll be in PT for a year, take 1 summer course, then put into FT for 2nd and 3rd year.
Seton Hall is ranking much higher than SLU. Seton Hall's ranking's been going up, while SLU fell this year. Both are good at Health Law. I have borderline interest in that field. My first choice is to work in-house somewhere in Corporate, Tax, M&A, or Contract law.
I imagine the choice would probably come down to where I wanna work after I graduate. But, just wanted to hear other people's thoughts about it before making any decision. (FYI, I already paid 2 deposits at Seton Hall).

No money for both. How is the likelihood of getting into FT division after one year of PT at Seton Hall? Their website says it depends on the grades. Also, any thoughts on Seton Hall?
Mercer deposit is due tomorrow, so I would like any help ASAP!

In every discussion board I looked at, there is nothing but negative about Mercer Law. Unfortunately, as of now, I am only accepted at Mercer Law. Waiting for next year's cycle is out of question due to personal reasons.
How's the chance to transfer out of Mercer Law? I have a guaranteed transfer offer from Case Western if I'm placed top 3rd in 1L. Do I need to be top 10% to transfer to schools like UGA or Emory? Also, how competitive is Mercer Law?
With 6 more schools to go, I hope I get into a better school....

I got a rejection letter yesterday from Case, but they offered me a guaranteed transfer if I am in top 33% of any ABA-approved law school. Anybody else got something like this from Case or any other schools?

Can it be a simple two to three sentence letter?
Also, I want to include some sort of LOCI. Do any of you have some samples I can incorporate?

I submitted my application to UGA early December, but they haven't requested my LSDAS report. I e-mailed their admission department, but I got a reply saying they will request it soon. It's been a week, but they still haven't requested the report. Anybody having the same issue? Should I wait until they request it or should I call them and ask if my application was incomplete?

Trying to see if anyone here is going to be Gonzaga '10.

New 2008 ranking came out and WVU is now tier 3 (they lowered their student/faculty ratio a lot). I like Gonzaga here, but if UALR or WVU can give me in-state tuition after 1L, I may choose one or the other. Any advice on these schools? Which school has better reputations, etc? Gonzaga and WVU are more tempting 'cause of their sports teams...
