Where should I go next fall? / Texas vs Columbia

I live in Austin.  I have a fiancee and a house here.  I got into UT.  The tuition is in state, they've offered me a nice scholarship, so here I am LONG decided that UT is the school for me....BUT I'm second guessing myself.  I also got into Columbia.  I've not been offered any money, so the debt would be huge, I mean, it's NYC after all.  I've read a lot of stuff on here about going to the best school you can get into, but TX is just so easy.  If I go to Columbia, I have to sell the house, and do the long-distance thing with my honey - again - he just got back from completing his residency in NC.  A new perspective may help.  Thanks.

This a forum for discussion of of AA, not a rallying cry for bringing back eugenics.  Yes, you locked your thread, it's been done, it's old, get a life.
I'll still waiting for a good reason for race based AA.  I love that y'all are passionate about it.  I'm sure it goes beyond you needing to justify yourselves.  Really I wish you the best of luck with your schooling and your future.

I'm a hillbilly and I suffer from stereotype threat.  Shouldn't I get a break too?  I know when I get into Harvard with my 145 LSAT that I'll probably drop out, and my chances of passing the bar are poor, but I'm just so challenged when it comes to those standardized tests.

I'm half Mexican and could have used AA to my advantage, but haven't.  I look at the stats for the top 5 schools and it's pretty obvious who the minorities are.    Lower LSATs but often fairly decent GPAs.  You're not smarter, you're just taking advantage of entrenched racism.  The free ride continues.  To all those white disadvantaged students out their, yes, please, continue to look upon them with scorn.

Law School Applications / Auto admit at Texas?

Hi y'all,
I'm looking at applying for ED at UT.  I've been told that with a GPA of 3.5, and an LSAT of 170 I would be an auto admit. I'm sceptical.  Any way to find out?
