« on: May 01, 2007, 06:33:28 AM »
Is anyone going to take the Law School Preview "boot-camp" course?  Has anyone heard whether or not it actually works, because its really expensive?

Which would be the better choice: Campbell who is offering TONS of money or Howard?

Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / Howard and the bar
« on: April 11, 2007, 04:39:19 PM »
Howard has a terrible bar passage rate.  I am pretty reluctant right now about attending simply b/c of this.  Should my decision on whether or not to attend focus solely on its bar passage rate?  I have considered all the other factors (i.e. location, $$$ and career prospects.)

Choosing the Right Law School / question about Campbell
« on: April 10, 2007, 01:22:20 PM »
Someone told me recently that it is virtually impossible to transfer from Campbell unless you are literally at the top of the class.  She basically said that the school grades so hard that you basically will not have the grades to get into UNC, Duke or Wake.  She also told me that schools like UNC and Duke will not accept Campbell students because they know that these students obviously couldn't get in the first time around and as a result, they are simply not good enough as a transfer.  My question is whether or not these comments are true, rumors or just comments from a disgruntled student?

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Waitlist and $$$
« on: April 09, 2007, 05:56:03 PM »
Do schools ever offer $$$ to students accepted off the waitlist. I mean obviously some people who are already accepted and offered $$, choose to withdraw their applications, so that money has to go somewhere right?

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Two questions about waitlists
« on: April 02, 2007, 09:23:34 PM »
I have been WL at Howard and Richmond.  I spoke with the Richmond Dean and she encouraged me to retake the LSAT in June.  The Howard Dean was a litle indifferent.  Overall I was wondering if it is common for WL candidates to take the June LSAT in hopes of admission?  Also will increasing my LSAT score help in the event that I may transfer after my first year?

Incoming 1Ls / questions about Campbell
« on: March 31, 2007, 10:01:55 PM »
Just a few questions about Campbell.....

Which would be the better choice Campbell or North Carolina Central?

What is the grade curve?

Would I have any prospects for 1L summer employment?

Do any medium or larger firms actually hire from there?

Any help would be appreciated.
