General Board / Looking for advice
« on: June 25, 2009, 11:41:20 AM »
Hello all,

I just finished my 2nd year (evening division) at New England School of Law and I have just been accepted to Suffolk's night program.  I am 18/90 in my class at NESL with a 3.25 GPA.  Not sure if a trade up to Suffolk it worth my while - especially since I will prob have to stay for an extra semester.  (Evening programs take four years).

I have been working in the legal field for about eight years and am currently with a prestigious Boston firm that does not really hire from NESL.

Any comments are appreciated,

Thanks

Ranked 15/115 after year one in evening division.
After first semester of year two ranked 14/89.

Good chance of transferring from New England School of Law to Suffolk?

I just finished 15 out of 115 at New England School of Law's night program.  Think there is a shot of transferring to BC?

Where should I go next fall? / Suffolk vs. NESL vs. Quinnipiac
« on: February 21, 2007, 11:40:03 AM »
I have gotten into NESL and Quinnipiac.  I am going to pick Suffolk if I get in.  They certainly take their time reviewing apps.  If I don't get into Suffolk, I will be torn between Quinnipiac and NESL.  Quinnipiac is ranked higher however I want to work in Boston.  I have worked for Goodwin Procter and Mintz Levin as an IP paralegal over the past 3.5 years and have good connections in Boston.  Thoughts anyone?

Law School Applications / Too Late to Apply? Chances?
« on: February 21, 2007, 10:19:20 AM »
Hi all,

I graduated with a 3.22 and have been working for three and a half years at big law firms in Boston.  I have been accepted to five schools so far however I was thinking of pulling a long shot at UConn.  My LSAT was a 153.  I am below their numbers so I am thinking my chances are slim.  I was going to apply part time and was hoping my work experience and recommendations would pull me through.

Candid thoughts are welcome!
