So it appears that my cycle is pretty much over since all schools have given me an answer with the exception of waitlists from UF, Emory, and WUSTL. My offers of admission are as follows: UNC w/no money so far, Pitt w/16k, and Temple w/15k. Since I am the first person in my family to go to college, I am not privy to any law school advice from my parents or siblings. I really do not have much of an overwhelming preference amongst those three schools. With regard to locale however, I prefer to stay in the South. I did my UG at Cornell and my M.A. at UF, suffice to say, the cold kicked my butt...I am a Florida boy.
Also, I am not sure what type of law I would like to practice/study either.
Any insight would be much appreciated.
The LOCI has been talked about ad nauseum on this site; however, how do you all feel about letters of intent. I was talking with a buddy of mine who will be attending med school and he said that LOIs are a great idea. Essentially, you state that if given an offer you will accept and send in the seat deposit promptly...albeit more eloquently dictated.
I dunno, what do you guys and gals think?
Well, at least it aint a ding. It is still upsetting however. Nothing in the letter mentioned any ranking system...it essentially just said that they can admit you at any time before 8/15 (the first day of classes). My #1 choice is UNC; however, UF would be nice to have in my back-pocket just in case the UNC debt scares me off.

So, I just called one of the schools that I am still waiting on, of course in the middle of a fit inspired by the fact that they still havent sent me *&^%, and when they picked up all I had to say was, "Hi, ohhhh, I had a...sorry wrong number."
Yeah, I shat the bed.
Is there any way of them finding out it was me?
So what is everyone's opinion on schools that have yet to give any indication as to whether or not they want you? I have been complete since November for the schools that I am still waiting on (UF, W&M, and UC-Davis)! I mean I am usually a really laid back guy; however, this situation has me seriously stressed...I am really not liking this sensation. Ah well, so how do those in the same boat as I feel?
So when can we expect to hear from the school's that we have been admitted to in terms of need-based aid (grants, scholarships, and loans)? I am going to be factoring the amount of aid I receive in determining where I should go. Anyone else curious? Anyone have a good idea of when school's typicall make this info available? Is it all up to the school? I am really eager to hear from UNC.
Thanks for any input!
