Wait List / IOWA WAITLIST

I just heard from admissions that about 450 people were put on the waitlist this year! :-\  Since last year's entering class was 210, that means not much of a chance for most of us on the waitlist this year.  Who else is on this waitlist, and what other schools are you considering?  I would love to get in to Iowa, but unfortunately these odds do not look good. 

The letter notifying me of my place on the waitlist also said that the number of admitted students was at the time much larger than they would like to matriculate come fall. 

I hope there is a mass exodus of people who decide to withdrawl from Iowa, then maybe I have a chance!!! ;D

Where should I go next fall? / Driving Your SO crazy with non-stop law school talk?

My SO has basically told me that I am not allowed to talk about law school any more, unless there is some sort of breaking news (ie. acceptance, rejection) I know that I do go back and forth between schools and cities, and sometimes it dominates our conversations, but I find it hard to think/talk about much else.

Is anyone else experiencing anything similar to this?   I realize for someone who is not planning to go to law school, it probably seems like it will be a big pain in the ass for the next 3 years.  As much as I try to relax and put law school thoughts on the back burner, I just cannot seem to do so.  I think I may have started to burn my parents out as well!

I was just wondering what that website is that shows what schools specific law firms recruit from.  I originally found it here on LSD, but I have not been able to find it again.  Someone please help!

Law School Applications / Which is Better: Waitlist or Deferral?

Hello everyone,

Just wondering as I have been waitlisted at William Mitchell and Maine, and deferred at MSU.  I understand the difference, but is one of them a better indication of acceptance?
