The University of Southampton Law School is inviting applications for its 1 year LLM in Finance Law programme. This unique programme covers the entire range of financial markets, their regulation and the principal legal issues that will imbue students with knowledge about the finance industry and the skills to work in that field. The Southampton Law School, whose programmes are recognised by the Bar Council of India, is one of the leading law schools in the UK with a worldwide reputation for excellence in education and research.
The LLM in Finance Law programme is structured so that it begins with the core regulatory principles governing banking and investment, as well as the core legal principles applicable to financial market practice, and then applies those fundamentals to each market segment. There is no previous knowledge of finance required because each module covers both the legal and the commercial basics at the outset.
The Southampton Law School is also offering 30% scholarships to suitably qualified Indian students on its post graduate LLM programmes. Students applying for the programme are required to have a Bachelors Degree in Law or the international equivalent, but account may also be taken of practical experience within the relevant field of study. English language requirements are at IELTS 7.0 with no less than 6.0 in any component. The annual fee for the programme is £13,500. The programme commences in September 2013 and the deadline to apply for the same is 15th August, 2013.

UK’s University of Southampton Law School offers exciting scholarship to Indian post graduate applicants:

The University of Southampton Law School is offering 30% scholarships to Indian students on its post graduate LLM programmes starting in September 2013. The Southampton Law School is one of the leading law schools in the UK with a worldwide reputation for excellence in education and research, and its programmes are recognised by the Bar Council of India. Gaining its momentum through its excellent facilities, the school is outstanding in having thorough and well organised academic and personal, legal and employability skills programmes.
 
To avail the scholarships, students must exceed the minimum entry requirements by 5% in the LLB. The courses available for the scholarships are LLM Corporate and Commercial Law (1 year), LLM European and Comparative Property Law (1 year), LLM European Law (1 year), LLM Law (1 year), LLM Information Technology and Commerce (1 year), LLM International Business Law (1 year), LLM International Law (1 year) and LLM Maritime Law (1 year).
 
Further, students applying for the scholarships must either be holding an LLB degree from a good law school in India with a minimum of 50% or a recognised Law degree from other countries. The University is offering 5 scholarships each of £4000 for the MSc Crime Analysis as well as MSc/LLM Socio-Legal Studies to those students who exceed the minimum entry requirements by 5%. English language requirements are at IELTS 7.0 with no less than 6.0 in any component. The annual fee for all campus based MSc and LLM courses are £13,500 and for the (DL) LLM IT and Telecoms Law are £1750 per unit plus £1000 for the dissertation, making a total of £8000. The programme commences in September 2013 and the deadline to apply is May 2013.

The Law School at the University of Southampton is offering 30% scholarships to Indian students on its undergraduate LLB programmes. Southampton Law School is one of the leading law schools in the UK with a worldwide reputation for excellence in teaching and research, and its programmes are recognised by the Bar Council of India.  Southampton Law School is exceptional in having thorough and well organised academic and personal, legal and employability skills programmes.
 
To be eligible for the scholarships,students must make University of Southampton their firm choice on UCAS and exceed minimum entry requirements by 5%. The courses applicable for the scholarship are LLB (Hons) Law (3 years), LLB (Hons) Maritime Law (3 years), LLB (Hons) European Legal Studies (4 years) and LLB (Hons) International Legal Studies (4 years).
 
The scholarships will be applied automatically and will be repeated every year subject to students’ satisfactory performance. Students on 4-yearLLB courses above are required to pay only 50% of the standard fee during the 3rd year.
 
Entry requirements from the CBSE (12th) and ISC syllabus are set at 85% and 80% respectively.Scholarships are applied automatically by the University to students who exceed the minimum entry requirements by 5% and meet all other requirements including references and a satisfactory personal statement.English language requirements are at IELTS 6.5 with no less than 6.5 in any component. The annual fee for the programme is £12,420. The programme commences in September 2013 and the deadline to apply is May 2013.
