2L job search / canceling a callback

So i have a callback on Tuesday in a city and with a firm that i am no longer interested in.  Should i go on the callback?  I made the plane reservations(no hotel) last weeks before i came to the conclusion that i do not want to be in that city,  so i feel a little like a male private part for wanting to cancel, but it seems like a waste of money if i would not accept an offer with the firm.   

Any advice on whether i should go or cancel on monday morning?

2L job search / Good sign or meaningless?

I got an email from a firm i am very keen on interviewing with that basically said "thank you for your resume.  We are very impressed with your credentials and want to know what ties you have to the offices you listed."  Does that sound like they will be inviting me down for an interview if they find my ties to the office(s) to be sufficient?  This was a firm i sent a copy of my resume to on my own because they do not interview on campus.  Good sign?

I am trying to priortize which ones i want to interview with and am having a tough decision separating them.  I find websites to be only so helpful because they are all written by an outside professional.  All of them have practice areas that i am interested in, so i can't narrow it down by practice area.  All are in NY, so i can't narrow it down by location.  I've talked to a few summer associates at about half, and ,of course ,they all said great things.  So i am inclined to list those ones first just because i've heard positive remarks from a third party.


Any insight would be much appreciated.

2L job search / white guy at a minority/diversity job fair

How bad is that?  Will firms look down upon white guys for applying and interviewing with them when the job fair is geared toward hiring african americans, latinos, women, and other minorities?

2L job search / expressing interest in multiple offices in a cover letter

When applying online(symplicity), what is the best method of showing interest in multiple offices without coming across as if i have no ties(i.e. no intention of staying)?   I have legit ties to several big cities(boston, ny, jacksonville, philadelphia, norfolk).  I've lived in several, went to school in some, and have family in all.  Do i avoid the issue of interest in a specific office in my cover letter and just wait for the question during an interview?  I have to mark on symplicity what offices i have interest in anyways.  Do law firms look less favorably on people who apply to a broad range of offices(boston to florida)?
