Choosing the Right Law School / The Need Access application is a b*tch.
« on: January 07, 2005, 12:36:39 PM »
I feel better now that I've announced that.  I'm 60% done with the student section.

Whatever happened to that letter that was supposed to arrive through regular mail "shortly"?

Today I received a letter (dated Nov. 11) encouraging me to apply along with their 05-06 Bulletin.  They're giving off a constipated red-tape vibe that I'm not particularly attracted to.

Is it just me, or does Penn have a horrendously slow-moving business office?

Law School Admissions / Trouble Processing an Attachment on Web LSACD

Anyone else having trouble getting the gray attachments to turn red and pdf previewable?  I have to wait for this before I can transmit and it's taking forever - my screen flashes and the attachments just aren't being processed by LSAC.  I've submitted 10 aps electronically and haven't had this problem yet.

What is an appropriate gift to give a professor who has written a LOR for you?

My first LOR was sent by my prof on 9/3 and processed on 9/9.
My second LOR was sent by my prof on 9/8 and still hasn't been processed.
What gives, and how long did it take for you?

General Off-Topic Board / gmail users...

Have you ever gotten an email discussing a certain topic, and then looked to the right of that email at "sponsored links" where there is X Service providing something regarding that topic?  It just scared me, even though I knew stuff like this would happen with gmail.

Don't do it unless your parent is a good writer and has seen an example of a good PS.  My dad thought I was suppose to write it like a structured proposal of why I'm a good candidate for X law school, so he hated the PS that my professors loved.  Completely sucked out all the confidence I had in it, even though I know it shouldn't have.
