General Off-Topic Board / Getting a dog for law school (and beyond, of course) - any advice appreciated

So, I have never had a dog but always wanted one. Now that I am likely to finally live alone (or with SO) I'd like to get a dog. Will I have enough time to take care of it during law school? I'd like a small, friendly dog that does not require too much going out -- would you guys recommend any particular breed?

So I've finally managed to send out all of my applications --- but I swear I became addicted to this site :) ... I can't stop reading every single post and trying to figure out my admission chances... I swear it's going to drive me crazy.... :o :o :o ...
