Where should I go next fall? / Best Schools for Public Interest? (Please Don't Tell me HYS)

Any thoughts on a good T1 or T2 school for public interest?

I'm thinking about factors like clinical experiences/placement of grads/internships/LRAP/scholarship money given/reputation. Location isn't an issue for me.

I'm considering reapplying for fall 2008--does anyone know if I have to send in new LORs to LSAC or if letters from the previous cycle can be used again the next year?

Has anyone gotten waitlisted at Colorado recently? I'm looking at the response card right now and I'm wondering if the "No. 1" written in the top left corner has any significance. Is anyone's card different?

Maybe I'm just being overly hopeful.

So I'm really shocked about this one. 158/3.5-- I thought I was surely an auto-ding; in fact the only reason I even took a shot at applying is that they gave me a fee waiver. Seriously, I don't even have to get admitted, I'm just happy that they didn't automatically deny me....

I wonder if all the bad weather in Denver is seriously delaying the admissions process at Denver and Colorado. Out of about 30 apps sent in about a month ago, these are the only two schools that haven't even requested my lsac report.

Recommendations / asked for lor three months ago, and still not in!

I'm so frustrated. I asked my advisor three months ago to write an LOR, and he said he would have it in by Thanksgiving. After thanking him for writing the letter last week, he told me he didn't get around to it yet! He then said he'd have it in this week... but for some reason I'm seriously doubting that.

But perhaps I shot myself in the foot by only asking two professors to write LORs. My other LOR came in over a month ago.

I have all my apps done but I'm just scared to submit them and request the reports without two solid recs. However, I know it's starting to get late in the cycle.

Anyone apply with one LOR? Where? I'm especially interested in hearing about admits from the last cycle.
