Law School Admissions / Reserved at CLS???
« on: January 30, 2007, 11:57:27 AM »
I just got a letter postmarked January 29th from CLS saying the adcomms have decided to postpone a final decision on my app and have placed me in their "Reserve group," wich apparently is not the same as 'waitlist." Anyone have any experience with this 'reserve' status? I don't think my chances are very good from the language in the letter. They also said that if i decided to stay in consideration, a decision wouldnt be made till early June. I feel a little pwned right now though  :-[

Looking to put the final touches on this PS. I will be happy to read yours too. Any takers? Thanks!

Would law schools be more impressed that you took the LSAT once and did fairly well, as opposed to taking it multiple times and gaining only marginally (ie. 2-4 pts)? In other words, is there any advantage to the decisive test taker who scored decently the first and only time he/she took the LSAT, or an advantage for the slightly higher scorer regardless of quantity of LSATs taken?

I'm thinking whether it's really worth it to improve upon my 168 (I think I can pull off a 170-172 but then again I could have a bad day and get an equally lower score). I also would really like to know where I'm going before new year's so I could relax during my last semester at UG. Any opinions?
