Just wondering if anyone is going to UCLA Admitted Students Weekend on April 20-22. I would like to be friends.  ;D

for some reason, it doesn't seem like as many people are nervous about these december scores as they were for sept. maybe the fact that less people took december, combined with the fact that finals are around this time is making it seem more low-key...

anyway, just thought i would make a thread for all the people who are counting down like me  ;D

Law School Admissions / PLEASE HELP! re: financial aid and other Q's
« on: October 29, 2006, 02:31:17 PM »
I just started filling out applications, and i feel like a lot of them are unclear (Loyola being one of them). Some apps are only 4 pages and don't ask for anything. Do i just attach a PS and resume to them?

And re: financial aid...where do I get such papers? Are they not on LSAC because i can't find many schools financial aid papers? any information would be greatly appreciated!!!!

If you go to Account Status/Fees, they'll let you know how much damn money you've paid them. So far, I've paid $583.84. PT's 39-49 TWICE. 2 LSAT reg's and of course LSDAS fee.

Studying for the LSAT / theoretical question
« on: October 21, 2006, 06:39:29 PM »
actually, i don't think this is a theoretical quesiton at all. anyway, but since the new policy, i'm assuming that many more people are planning to retake. and because many more ppl are planning to retake, many more people are going to apply late in the cycle.

now, do you think that law schools have already accounted for this and will accept less people early in the cycle, and accomodate the ones that are going to apply later? or are they going to do as they did before? if they do, there will be even more people competing for the end of the cycle spots..?

Law School Admissions / retake or not? PLEASE HELP! =]
« on: October 21, 2006, 03:13:39 PM »
I posted this on the "studying for the LSAT" forum, but i thought it might be more appropriate here.

I'm going to be as specific as I can be in order to get the most accurate responses....I'm an Asian (Vietnamese) female....I go to Santa Clara University. 3.6 GPA (upward trending). 166 LSAT just came in for me. I'm 20/ going to graduate in 3 years rather than 4, because it just costs less!! especially if i'm going to go to law school.

Been workin since i was 16...so hardly any extra-currics...but work experience. 25-30 hours a week during the school year, full time in the summer.

I really want to be down south for law school. that means UCLA or USC. Are my chances ok at these two schools? Basically, should I retake or not? I know i underperformed on the LSAT, but again, you never know..
